Minister Continues Familiarization Visits Across Key Security and Emergency Departments
On Thursday, 20 November, the Minister for Homeland Security and Civil Affairs Mr. James Camille continued his familiarization programme with a series of visits to key departments under the Ministries portfolio. The visits aim to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and provide the Minister with firsthand insight into operational needs.
The programme began at the Regional Fusion and Law Enforcement Centre for Safety and Security at Sea (Reflecs3), Regional Coordination Operations Centre (RCOC) and the National Information Sharing & Coordination Centre (NISCC) where the Minister received briefings on national security monitoring and information management.
He then proceeded to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to meet with investigators and discuss ongoing efforts to enhance investigative capability.
At the Remand Centre at Bois de Rose, the Minister engaged with Seychelles Prison Service officers and reviewed facility operations and staff welfare matters.
The final stop was the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency (SFRSA) Headquarters, where officers outlined response readiness, training initiatives and resource requirements.
Across all departments, the Minister met with officers, listened to their concerns, and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting front-line teams and improving coordination across the security and emergency response teams.
