High-Level Visit to Bois de Rose to Assess Relocation Needs Linked to Port Expansion
A site visit was conducted at Bois de Rose this afternoon in relation to the Seychelles Port Expansion Project to review the entities that may require relocation as part of the development.
The visit was attended by the Vice President, Mr. Sebastien Pillay, the Minister for Homeland Security and Civil Affairs, Mr. James Camille and the Minister for Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation, Ms. Veronique Laporte, together with heads of departments under the Ministry for Homeland Security and Civil Affairs, including the Police, Seychelles Prison Service and the Maritime Safety and Security Bodies.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Vice President and ministers to familiarise themselves with the entities concerned and to discuss considerations for the way forward as planning progresses.
