SEYPEC and SFRSA Sign MOU to Strengthen Fire and Emergency Response Capacity

The Seychelles Petroleum Company Limited (SEYPEC) and the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency (SFRSA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance national preparedness and response to fire and petroleum-related emergencies.

The agreement was formally signed by the Chief Fire Officer of SFRSA, Ms. Tally Domingue, and the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SEYPEC, Mrs. Brenda Gobine.
The MOU establishes a framework for collaboration through joint training exercises, technical exchanges, and shared access to specialised facilities and expertise. It aims to strengthen the operational capacity of SFRSA in managing hydrocarbon risks while enabling SEYPEC to benefit from SFRSA’s firefighting and emergency response expertise.

The partnership will include live simulations, customised training modules, participation in emergency drills, and knowledge sharing on international best practices in safety and risk management.

This MOU supports national safety objectives and reinforces both institutions’ commitment to improving resilience and protecting lives, property, and critical infrastructure.
